One customer at a time

Easy, practical, effective

I enjoyed the slides for Jane McGonigal's talk on the future of game development. (Note to self: we will be seeing increasing influence of the gaming industry on customer experience thinking. Watch this space).

My favourite slide said:

THE DESIGN CHALLENGE: If you could make one person measurably happier, who would it be, and what game would you make for them?

Let's turn Ms McGonigal's words into an experience design statement:

THE EXPERIENCE DESIGN CHALLENGE: If you could make one customer measurably happier, who would it be, and what change would you make for them?

Important: we are taking here about a permanent change to the customer experience, not a random gift.

Go on, think of a customer, a real one, and start improving your experience one customer at a time....
